Start-up office (Local health authority and University Institution relations office)
The function of this office is to activate Experimental Centres, both regarding obtaining Ethical Approvals and Administrative Authorizations; it deals with all CRO experimental studies (also in place of the Project Leader), in order to optimize the relationships with the Centres: it has previous knowledge of all Local health authority or University Board procedures, and well established relations with many parties.
The Administration Office, in some respects, cooperates in performing this activity.
To summarize:
- Execution of bureaucratic, ethic and administrative procedures;
- Follow up of bureaucratic procedures;
- Management of the relationship with the Administrations.
In particular, it also deals with the drawing up of the contract with the Centre, in the name of and on behalf of the sponsor or in the name of and on behalf of Hippocrates. If requested by the Sponsor, the Administrative Office can arrange for the payment of the Centre and all related issues, in full respect of specific guidelines, as per the relative Standard Operating Procedures.
